Story: These crystals belonged to Samir's mother. Before leaving Jerusalem, Samir's father rented a room in one of the monasteries in the city, where he stored their valuable carpets. Samir's mother wrapped her crystals tightly and stored them alongisde the carpets in a box. After 1967, they went back for their belongings. Samir's parents had to smuggle them through Ramallah before bringing them to Amman, where they now remain. Years have passed since the items made their journey and Samir now holds onto his mother's crystal decanter and glasses, bringing them out for guests on special occasions.
